Cap & Search was founded in 2012 by Marie-Laure Mine. It specializes in the recruitment of executives, senior management and industry experts.

As generalists, we work with companies of all sizes – large groups, SMEs, start-ups, and in all sectors of activity – to recruit the talent they need to accelerate their growth or transformation.

Marie-Laure Mine

An advertising, consulting and media professional, Marie-Laure Mine spent 10 years in major advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, CLM-BBDO in Paris and London. A graduate of Sciences Po, she joined Mc Kinsey in London as a consultant after her MBA at Insead.

In 1996, she joined Hachette-Filipacchi/Lagardère as Advertising Director of ELLE magazine, where she stayed for 12 years until she became CEO of Interdeco, the group’s advertising sales company. Member of the CEW, she is in charge of the Retail and Consumer Luxury Goods Club at Insead. She joined Transearch, an Executive Search firm, in 2009 and specialises in Media, Fashion, Beauty and Luxury Goods. At the end of 2012, Marie-Laure created her own firm, Cap & Search.

Sophie Mazurel

After working for several years for Advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Sophie joined the Hachette/Filipacchi/Lagardere group as Advertising Director for several publications such as Notre Temps, Senior Magazine. She became Key Accounts Manager in 2006 .

In 2008, She studied communication and marketing at ESCP for one year.

She then joined the marketing and development team of Factea, a consulting firm.  

From 2011 to 2016 she was Sales Manager of the marketing magazines of the Editialis group, and then became Sales Director of CB NEWS.

In 2016 she joined Cap & Search as a Consultant.

Marine Viguié

After studying law, Marine successively held marketing and sales positions within various communication groups (EMAP, Prisma Presse, L’Express, Le Point).

She joined Hachette Filipacchi/Lagardère with Le Point in 1998, and then became advertising director for the Art de Vivre publications. In 2005, she became sales director for the Ile de France area.

From 2007 to 2009, she was CEO of Lagardère Métropoles, in charge of marketing and sales for the regional network and all the publications marketed.

At the end of 2012, Marine joined Cap & Search as a consultant.

Stéphanie Salmon

After a few years working in advertising agencies, Stéphanie joined the Hachette Filipacchi/Lagardère group. She held various positions there, brand director for ELLE magazine, head of consumer magazines for Danone and Grand Optical and then general secretary of the Media Institute (Training organisation for marketing, communication and media professions). Stephanie then lead overseas for several years in Moscow and then in London. She joined Cap & Search in February 2019 as a consultant, specializing in Retail and Sales positions.    

How we operate

• In-depth analysis of the challenges and the environment of the position to be filled, and of the firm’s culture, as well as the recruitment strategy in light of market conditions
• Development of the job description based on the information gathered in order to define and validate the expectations of the client
• Internal meeting to define the best strategy to adopt for the assignment:  choice of research targets / activity sectors/ types of companies / level of responsibility.
• Launch of search: sourcing within our network, identification of possible candidates, close and transparent collaboration through the weekly progress report, listing status of candidates approached, 
• Approach of the targeted people followed by face to face meetings with the pre-selected candidates.
• Presentation to the client of a shortlist of 3 – 5 candidates
• Obtaining professional references following selection by the client of the best candidates
• Assistance in negotiating terms and conditions of employment of the successful candidate
• Follow-up of the integration and development of the newly employed person during his/her first year in the company

Our fees

The way in which Cap & Search is organized allows great flexibility in taking into account the needs and constraints of its clients : deadlines, reporting frequency, financial conditions.

• We work on an exclusive mandate basis.
• Never more assignments than availability.
• All CVs are reviewed by us, including those received by the client.
• Remuneration in the form of fees payable in three instalments, upon signature of the contract, presentation of the shortlist, and signature of the candidate chosen by the client.
• Six months guarantee.
• Off-limits for a period of 12 months.
